I am the Technical Director at OpenStax, an amazing organization producing high quality, free, open textbooks for college and advanced placement courses, as well as courseware that incorporates best practices from learning science and data from machine learning. I had a Fellowship from the Shuttleworth Foundation from 2011 to 2014 to foster an ecosystem of tools around open education. My educational background is computer science and my interests include software usability, how people learn, the open source community, and technology and web-enhanced education.
